Carboxylated Nitrile compounds are produced in limited durometer hardness ranges of 60 – 95 Shore A.
Due to the chemical modification to the structure of Nitrile rubber, outstanding abrasion resistance with improved chemical resistance and slightly higher temperature range results. Carboxylated Nitrile can be modified to meet the need of different industries but the material is very limited.
This polymer is far superior to most other polymers such as Neoprene, EPDM, Natural, Nitrile and Hypalon with regards to abrasion resistance, therefore it can be considered to be a real alternative to various types of Polyurethane.
Carboxylated Nitrile should not be used in applications where rollers are running at high speeds with hysterisis or resilience problems.
